A former worker for HIT Entertainment in New York said this to Indeed in April 2017:
"A great small company with great culture and co-workers. Once it was acquired by Mattel, became much more difficult to get things done and approved. More corporate structure and blurred lines of roles."
MARKETING DIRECTOR (Former Employee) says"Great small company with great culture and co-workers. Once it was acquired by Mattel, became much more difficult to get things done and approved. More corporate structure and blurred lines of roles."
Senior Accounting Assistant (Royalties) says"currently too company changes at the moment and no job security. management structure is weak and has had a few rapid changes with CEO's. many staff has been made redundant."
RECEPTIONIST (Current Employee) says"I was temping for Mattel at first. A permanent role became available so I applied and passed the interview and was offered the job. I continued temping whilst waiting for "approval" from the US Mattel head office. This never came and I was not even told I would not be taken on as permanent. There was no communication whatsoever. Many people were made redundant and the role became available again and I was told to apply all over again and I would have to go through the interview procedure again. I did not even go for it because they set a bad example and I consider the company to be a bit of a dead end to be quite honest. Many people in my office complained they were unhappy and bored.Free toys sometimes, finished early on Fridays.Unprofessional, not much socializing between colleagues, boredom"
Assistant Backstage Propsman (Former Employee) says"The environment is fine and neutral, the people are great to work with and they're very straight forward. the whole set are a fast phased one so you should be prepared and be alert at any cost. The hardest part of the job would be the physical job which you're going to set up the stage, the set, and the props, plus you should be knowledgeable about fixing stuff. But the most enjoyable part is seeing the show and how the crew and cast does the production, the cast are very friendly and the wardrobe are so very friendly and accommodating.long hours break, day offLong hours and extra jobs"
GLOBAL AUDIT DIRECTOR (Former Employee) says"Great location in the center of London. Fantastic to work for global icon properties like Thomas & Friends, Bob the Builder and Pingu. Good exposure to overall business operations.Working with great creative peopleNo lunch"
